I was born in a small fishing village on the beach of the warm ocean. My father was a fisherman, like all the men in the village. I was the youngest child in the family. Besides me, I had 2 brothers and 2 sisters. We were all happy until white people came to the village with some papers and started telling us that all the land around them was their property. Because of a different skin color, we began to be considered lower-grade people. We became aborigines, and on the lips of these people these words sounded like curses. And our men took up arms.
