Almost everybody know that a fairy tale is a fictional story. In this genre you can find trolls, witches, elves, talking animals and also fairies. In almost all fairy tales the end is happy and the time is not actual, - they take palace once upon a time.
Some of the most known fairytale-writers are: H. C. Andersen and Brothers Grimm.
Once upon a time there was a king and a queen…… The fairy tale Kate Crackernuts is written by Joseph Jacobs. The king had a daughter named Anne, and his queen had a daughter named Kate, who was not as bonnier as Anne. The queen was however jealous of Anne and therefore she went to a henwife to ruin Annes’s beauty.
In fairy tales the number ”three” is the magic number. In Kate Crackernuts the stepmother and the henwife tried three times, and then they enchanted Anne’s head into a sheep’s head.
Because Kate was a good sister and loved Anne, she wrapped Anne’s head in cloth, and they went out to seek their fortunes.
The fairy tales are often written by the same model called ”home-out-home”. In Kate Crackernuts the story begins in the home and later Kate and Anne go out to seek their fortunes.
