Some do it because of poverty, drug abuse or some type of mental illness or maybe even out of boredness, these things often play a role in driving a teen into committing a crime. The reasons that teen commit crimes varies depending in what situation they’re in. people are influenced by the environment around them, especially the environment they grew up in. others believe that one's biology and genetics determine a person’s potential to become a criminal. people commit crimes based on their social environment and the people they associate with. Some commit crimes because they are unable to achieve success in life. As an example, if a kid lives in a bad are such as a ghetto and his family is really poor, he’ll do anything to help them, such as stealing food and maybe medicine, and might even start selling drugs, which is something that happens in most cases.
