Just good friends by Jeffrey Archer, is about a romantic relationship between a cat and a man named Roger. The narrator is the cat, but that we do not know until the end. We only get an idea that she is just a very weird person. The story starts of by the narrator wakes up besides Roger, she does not want to wake him up. The narrator starts explaining how she met Roger at the Cats and Whistle pub. First Roger had an affair with a lady called Madeleine, but when they stopped the affair, the narrator took her chance to seduce Roger. The narrator also tells us about her life, with another man, and about her mom that left her. The story ends with the two main persons eating breakfast, were we also get to know, that the narrator is a cat.
characterization
The main character is the cat, that we think is a girl, until the end of the story were, we learn she is a cat. We don’t know what her name is, but we learn a little about her family.
Her mother left with another man, when she was at a young age, and did not come back. She is alone for some time until she meets Derek. Derek is a young cat with irresistible looks, and soon after she finds out that she is pregnant. Derek leaves her and she is left alone again, and gives birth to twins, but the authorities take them away.
