The daily life of a boy with ADHD can be complicated, especially when you do not have any friends. I will report a day of Jonathan's life, and how mental illness affects Jonathan's day in a first-person narrative.
I am putting on my clothes and I can barely open my eyes. The birds are chirping outside, but they annoy me, so I decided to threw rocks just to scare them. Mom is calling me and wants me to eat waffles that she has made. I have an energy drink in my room that I bought yesterday from Asda. It is my favourite, but mom does not know I drink energy drinks and she would not allow me either. Mom keeps calling me. It is frustrating, and it grinds my gears when people give me orders. I hate school and the teachers too. Joshua groans and it irritates me, so I threw a pencil at him, then he screamed and dropped his body loosely onto the floor. Today I have a meeting with my mentor, but that is in the evening. School Is finally over, and mom picks me up. She has bought doughnuts, but they are pink, and pink is a girl colour. She knows that I do not like girls, so I slapped her, and she cried. Mom is a cry-baby, and I hate the sound of her cry. For dinner, I will eat baked beans and mashed potato, which is my favourite dish. Top Gear is on the TV and Jeremy is trying a Porsche GT2 RS. The car is a bright yellow and can drive 280 km/h. When I grow up, I want to try cars in my tv-show just like Jeremy. I like Jeremy. Mom brings my dinner, but she put it on the counter on a tray instead of giving it to me. Now I have to get up and bring the food to the sofa myself. Mom tells me to stop shaking my legs, but I cannot control it. It is 7 pm and I just drank my energy drink, which I probably should not, because I already have trouble sleeping. My phone Is ringing. Denice, my mentor. I forgot about my appointment once again. I cannot sleep so I went for a stroll. I saw Porsche, but it was black. It is quite dark outside, but no birds are chirping.
