There is a lot of upsides and downsides of being an exchange student. It can be very hard, to learn a new culture to know in the start. But when you are starting to know it better, you will never regret it. Some great ways to connect with your new culture could be to connect with the local people, learn the local language, or maybe even share cultural values with your host family.
It’s so impotent to connect with your new culture, so don’t be afraid and just do it.
