Exchange student What´s up all 8th and 9th students around the world. My name is Christoffer and presently I´m staying in USA as an Exchange student for a year. I´ve got the idea after the rest of my class and I, had some weeks, where we learned what it meant to be an exchange student. There´s a few things which are good to know before you chose the country which you want to stay in. What I mention below are mostly based on the American school system, but it can also count in other countries. Of course it would be an good idea to know how to speak the country’s language. You are not able to choose which city you would like to live in, but you are able to choose which country you would like to visit. I picked USA, because I have always been fascinated how their school system is. Some of you might wonder if you have to be a straight A student. According to the Danish exchange student organization AFS you will start in a public school, and what you will learn there are the same that you would learn in an ordinary gymnasium in Denmark, so no you don´t have to be a A student When you start in high school, you will be quick to learn that the school around you is different from the school you are used to.
