I was sitting in the car with David, his friend Carl was driving. He had just picked us up from the city. David and I had been drinking the whole night, and we were very drunk. The prom was in three days, and I still hadn’t found a date yet. David had a date, of course he had, he’s one of the most popular guys on the school. It was way harder for me to find a girl, who wanted to go to the prom, with “the exchange student”. David, and his friends was nice to me though. I got accepted, as “just one of the boys”.
Denmark is nothing like America. I wasn’t allowed to drive, even though I had my driver license, because you have to be 18 years old in Denmark to drive. But I could drink alcohol legally though, without getting arrested. It felt strange to be drunk, I’ve never tried anything as weird as that.
Carl dropped us off, at David’s place. David invited his date, Gabriella over, and she brought her best friend Christine with her. It was 2 am, and we were watching a horror movie. Suddenly, Christine got scared, and hugged me. I just started smiling, and looked at her. She was beautiful. David went down into the kitchen, to get beers. Gabriella was on the toilet, so it was the perfect time. It was just me and her. I looked into her eyes, and we just sat on the bed, staring at each other for a minute, before she suddenly kissed me. I asked her, if she wanted to go to the prom with me, she giggled and replied “yes, of course”. It was the best feeling ever, I finally found a date to the prom, a beautiful girl too.
