Now I am going to write about something very important to me, and that is fashion. Even if you do not like fashion, fashion is still important for you because it is a way for everybody to express themselves. What you wear says something about you even if it is good or bad. Fashion is a big part of cultures all around the world, the clothing industry is worth more than 12 trillion American dollars per year. The American and European societies are the ones that spend the most money on clothing every year and that is because our societies like to go shopping for some nice, new clothes so we can express ourselves. Much research show that we people get a psychological high or a click when we go shopping for clothing.

If we just take the time back to 1980s, the average people bought about 15 new clothes every year. But now the average people buy 72 new parts of clothing every year and that is because of fast fashion. And fast fashion is about making trendy clothes quick, cheap and sell it fast on the market. This business model has changed the whole world, just because we people want to feel that we are luxury without paying the full price. We want to look like we have expensive cloth because it signals to people that we are rich or have many money even if we do not. Also compared to twenty years ago, we are only keeping the cloth we buy for half as long. When you think about it, it is very scary that the clothing industry is making so much cloth just so we can wear the cloth 5 or 6 times and then throw it out. When is it thrown out then what? Actually, many people do not know that these clothes do to the planet. If we just take the time back to 2015, where the textile production created more greenhouse gases than international flights and shipping combined.
