Side 1 : We have the song ”When i´m gone. The song was written in 2003, recorded in March 2004 and released December 6. 2005.
The song is about his family and how it has affected his family that he is a celebrity musician. A few years before the song was written, Kim left him and the year before he won a grammy.
Side 2 : The first verse is about how he had someone who he would do anything for and protect by his life. It then later in the verse talks about how he works and works and ends up hurting all the people around him without even realizing it because he never is there for them.
Side 3 : The second verse is about that Hailie does’nt want him to leave. There is a lot of direct speech in the song between him and Hailie. In the second verse Hailie says ”Daddy you are lying” and "You always say that, you always say this is the last time. But you ain't leaving no more, Daddy you're mine". Also in the video, Hailie is piling boxes in front of the door to make him stay. Later in the verse it says ”You’ve got one more chance to do right” which means that it is his last chance and they’re giving up on him.
