First of all what is cyber bullying? Well cyberbullying is when a bully takes the bullying and goes online. It can take place on social media, messaging platforms and mobile phones. It’s much easier for the bully to bully someone through a screen instead of face to face, that’s why cyberbullying is so common. It is repeated behavior, aimed at scaring, angering or shaming those who are targeted.

Examples include:

Spreading lies about or posting embarrassing photos of someone on social media, and sending hurtful messages or threats via messaging platforms

Problematics about 'bullying on social media'/Consequences

When bullying happens online it can feel as if you’re being attacked everywhere, even inside your own home, that is supposed to be safe heaven. It can seem like there’s no escape. The effects can last a long time and affect a person in many ways.

The feeling of being laughed at or harassed by others, can prevent people from speaking up or trying to deal with the problem. The victims can get anxiety, depression, and do self-harm f.eks. by cutting the wrists. In extreme cases, cyberbullying can even lead to people taking their own lives.

And also cyberbullying will be there forever not like normal bullying that will go over once you’re out of school or even sooner, but when something out on the internet, it stays there forever.
