in front of the munical building
they are dressed up
build on fear and hunger – and it all feels fake
the capitol:
Effie is very bright and pink
they have electracy
they have screens
they have food
they are styled
they are extravagant
high class dialect
kind of dystopian control
the people of district 12 are controlled by the capitol
they can’t have weapons
totalitarian control
it is illegal to be in the woods
peacekeepers -not killing, but keeping peace
in the start we don’t get to know that this story will turn out as a dystopian book

The father died in the mines- Katniss becomes the provider after this
The mom tries to do good fx by giving her the dress
The mom is depressed- page 27
The mom can’t handle/ take care of the family and Katniss having a heart time forgiving her.
