The British colonists took the Aboriginals land, they called it the land of “no-one”. In the 19th century the Aboriginals fainted away, more and more died. They didn’t “just” die, 28 Aboriginals were murdered in cold blood by the stockmen, some of them were hanged and others were poisoned. Sometimes the flour and sugar were mixed with arsenic. The Aboriginals were not a part of the society , so it didn’t matter that they died. it’s terrible that some people would kill for color. We live in a modern world, and we live different than they did that time, but is it even better now?

In the start of the 20th century the killing were replaced, instead of killing the Aboriginals, they would “help” them. There were made a new policy, the policy were that they would remove the Aboriginal children and they would give them to a white family or put them on a mission school, to eradicate traces of the Aboriginal culture. Many of the kids were sexually abused by the families.

But isn’t it good that the kids gets a new life? There is of course happening a lot of bad things to some of the kids, and that not okay, but many of the Aboriginals are living very poor and many don’t even have a home and money. Money is of course not everything, but its not fair that your kids don’t have a home. Its very sad to know that the governments reason for taking the kids, isn’t because they wanted to help the poor kids, its because they want to change them and make them forget were they came from. and that's not right at all.
