The Maze Runner is a novel series, about the genre dystopian fiction. The novel is written by the author James Dashner. James Dashner is an American author; he writes about dystopian fiction and speculative fiction. The first book of the novel series was published in 2009. James Dashner has so far written 5 of the book series Maze runner. There have been 3 movies, by the instructor Wes Ball.

Thomas is the novel’s protagonist in “The Maze Runner”. Thomas is a teenager who enters the story in a Box and finds himself in the Glade, with no memories other than of his first name. He is Curious about his identity “He wished for all the world he could remember something about his previous life”. Like every other newcomer to the Glade, Thomas arrives scared, nervous, and confused when he arrives at the glade. “His heart sank at the thought - he was so lost he didn't even know his age”. But In record time, he demonstrates his bravery and confidence, and he turns out to be brave, inventive, and strong-willed as he saves the lives of Gladers Alby and Minho and then begins to evolve as he has now become one of the Maze runners and is given the opportunity now to save them. Unlike others, however, he feels a strong connection to the Maze. Thomas also shares a telepathic connection with Teresa, Teresa is the last teenager and only girl to be sent to the Glade, and someone he thinks he might have known before arriving at the Glade. With her help, Thomas works to recover his memories and find out who he is concerning the Maze, with dramatic consequences. Thomas is also one of the first successful people to challenge the Glader´s rules, thereby changing day-to-day life in the Glade in a short amount of time and proving himself instrumental in understanding the Maze. Thomas is the person who solves the problem and frees the Gladers from the maze. Thomas is a round character because you mainly see his thoughts and his narration throughout the book, and a dynamic Character because he's been through a lot and has evolved.
