I’ve been thinking about your visit and I’m deeply sorry for making up a story about my life. I absolutely owe you an apology. First of all, I shouldn’t have wasted your time using fake Facebook profiles to try to impress you. And secondly, I shouldn’t have pretended to Megan. I know this wasn’t what you were expecting but I made a bad choice by lying to you and playing with your feelings. You trusted me and I betrayed you. I will never be able to forgive myself for such a thing. I need to be honest no matter what which is why I’ve decided to delete all the fake accounts and make a new and genuine facebook profile. I started texting you due to the heartbreaking things going on in my life. I needed a break. I needed to tell someone how I felt, how broken I was, and how miserable my life was. Furthermore, I regret what I did to you, and I know I shouldn’t have done this to you in the first place. I started getting to know you and our conversations got personal. I told you things I’ve never told anyone before. I enjoyed talking to you on the phone and all I ever dreamed about was to meet you. After a while I felt like we connected in a certain way and I was afraid to lose you as a friend. I didn’t think you’d like me if you knew who I was so I kept lying to you. Lying about Abby, lying about Megan, lying about everything. I was pretending to have the life I wanted. I was pretending to have a perfect life. But little did I know how it was going to affect me. You’ve had a huge impact on my life and I want to thank you. It wasn’t acceptable for me to act like I did for you to like me, and I can’t imagine how confused you might have been when you met me. I remember when you knocked on my door and told me who you were. It was the moment I’ve been waiting for since we started talking. Thank you for finally meeting me in person, and I’m genuinely sorry for taking up your time. I hope you can forgive me, and I wish you the best of luck in your future.
