The film 'Catfish' is about a photographer who is called Nev. One day Nev decided to receive an email from an eighty- years old girl who is called Abby. Abby told Nev that she saw his picture in the newspaper, and would like to made a portrait of him. Nev was positive surprised when he received the portrait of him from Abby. He decided to contact Abby's family, to hear more about Abby's talent. He get through to Abby's sexy nighteen years old sister Megan.
After that Nev had contacted Megan, their relationship developed, and they had a complicated on-line relationship. They knew each other through facebook, then Nev decided to meet Megan. He travelled to Michigan, and founded out that Abby and Megan didn’t exist. It was a forty years old married woman who played the sexy Megan role and the little girl Abby.
I think the message in this documentary movie, is that you can't trust somebody you just learned on-line. We should all be careful when we chat with anyone online, because they could lure us in a trap.
I think the documentary’s title is directed to Angela. Therefore I think that 'catfish' means a person with fake identity. It's a mentally sick person, who is always lonely and need compliments from people to feel good with them self.
