It's not easy to pick an idol to write about. I have a lot of people that I look up to for different reasons each. But if I REALLY had to, I'd probably pick Elon Musk. Here's why:
Elon Musk was born in Africa, 48 years ago. His dad was an engineer and Elon looked up to him his entire childhood. I think he wanted to be like his dad, to create new things where needed. This sure did lay the foundation for what Elon was to become.
He overcame a lot in his childhood. He got bullied a lot, because of how much he read, and how much of a nerd he was. Once he got pushed down some stairs and then kicked, until he felt unconscious. The magic in this, is that he didn’t stop his geeking there. He kept on being who he was, and probably just read even more. This is really inspiring, because I can relate a lot to this. I’ve always been teased, because of who I was and what I liked/didn’t like.
This sort of mindset is what inspires me to become a man just like Elon. The idea of always wanting to improve on everything, and never settle for an “okay” solution, is what I want to be.
