Ku Klux Klan was one of the most race discriminating groups in all time, and lucky for us, only a little group of Ku Klux Klan is left today.

Ku Klux Klan started as a political organization in the year 1865. 6 Scottish soldiers met in I town in Tennessee, where they started a secret group called The Knights of Kuklo, they named it after the Greek word Kuklos, which means Circle. The name means “the circle of brothers”, but some years after, the name of the organization became the name we all recognize today Ku Klux Klan. The first leader of KKK was Nathan Bedford Forrest, who was one of the 6 soldiers that raised the organization.

In the early years the members of KKK, only scared the black people from their home and work, but a couple of years after the beginning, the KKK members began to use violence, and they even killed people they didn’t like. KKK was a very popular group to join in some of the first years, because of some people’s aggression against black people, and in 1867 there were 500.000 members of The Klan.

The KKK started because of the black people, and the black slaves. The members of KKK were against the black people, and wanted to scare them away from the country, which they believed were theirs. In the start the members were quite peacefully, later on they started to use violence, and the black people got really scared, and for some how it got totally out of control.
