Sailing trip on Lord Nelson to New York

Hello everybody! I can see on my watch that it is day 22 on the Lord Nelson, and that I will be the trainee to write the blog for the day…

We start the day off by raising the mainsail. All the trainees started pulling the strong handmade ropes from Switzerland, and the sail was up in no time. When the mainsail was raised, we started crossing the Atlantic and chopping the seas. Day 22 was something special, as we were on our way to the shore of north America. Every trainee had boiling excitement for this day, and we could not wait to see the mighty statue of liberty which is located on the north of America in NY.

Our journey has been fun. If you are bored, there was always something you could do. Today I was standing on the top of the main mast, and below the deck you could play cards. And of course, you could be taking the dishes, but that is far from fun on a ship with 40 dirty trainees.

All the trainees are fun, and you can’t be bored on Lord Nelson. My best friends are called Anita, Rachel and Christian. They are down to earth, and that is what I search in friends. They also like to have fun, but when we sail they are 100% committed to sailing like me.
