The school in the sea Lord Nelson the British school ship

Day 22

Day 22 started of normal like always, we all woke up at 5:30 am, we made breakfast at 5:45 and began eating at 5:50 am. The plan for today was to see the statue of Liberty, and the Manhattan skyline. We all helped to sail the boat and control it. I helped with the top mast to make it stand in place, so it didn’t swing all over the place. The main mast is also the mast that helps turn the boat and control the ship, so it won’t turn to left when we need to turn to the right.

What we saw on day 22

At 8:00 am we approached the Coast of North America (40*29`33.0”n) when we approach a new place, we have a tradition that everybody on the ship needs to come to the dock, to praise that we made it to a new county alive. Around 9:30 am we started sailing into NY harbour, to see the statue of Liberty, at 9:45 am we saw the statue of Liberty, our plan after seeing the statue of Liberty was to sail to the Manhattan skyline. We all need to help to clean the ship, but that day we chose to sleep longer, because we were tired that day. we told our “leader” that we will be cleaning the ship, when he wakes up. We slept at the Manhattan shore (73*37`32.0”w)
