Stand by me is a story about four guys and their friendship. The story was written in 1982 by Stephen King. In the beginning of the film “Stand by Me” we see the main character Gordie driving in his car thinking about his history with his old friends Chris, Teddy and Vern. The film puts us in a flashback immediately at the beginning of the film where the protagonist Gordie, he’s the quiet one of the group and probably the one with the biggest chance to make it as an adult..Geordie meets his friends in a hut where they decide to get out on a trip to find a mystery of a dead body and accept the recognition as local heroes.
They make plans to tell their parents that they were sleeping out over each other’s homes and the next day they meet on the train tracks leading out of the town. The next morning Geordie goes to find his canteen in his older brother Denny, a popular athlete in the town who died in a car accident.
Geordie's mother was feeling really bad about it and she never answers the questions Geordie makes to her. Geordie's dad has no interest in his son's inspiration about being a writer and criticizes his friend Chris for stealing milk at the school because he doesn't like him. Chris is the oldest one of them. He is brave and is like a leader of the group and he wants everybody to feel good. Gordie and Chris meet up in the town and they get in trouble with Chris' older brother when he takes Geordie’s brother's hat from him. Chris tried to reach that back but Geordie stopped him.
