Min rejse til New Zealand

I’m very excited about my trip to New Zealand. I have been dreaming about traveling to New Zealand ever since I was a little girl. The reason is that my dad often travels to New Zealand to visit my aunt. This year my siblings and parents are planning to take a one-week vacation to Wellington, which is the capital of New Zealand. Our flight will be taking off from Copenhagen airport around 11 pm and in approximately 48 hours we should arrive at Wellington airport. We are going to be staying at my aunt’s place, while we’re in New Zealand. My aunt knows a lot about famous tourist attractions which I’m very excited to see. We’re planning to rent a car so that we don’t have to worry about transport. The thing that I’m most excited about is exploring the amazing landscape as the small island has a lot of hiking spots and beautiful mountains. My dad is very good at driving and has a very good sense of orientation. He tends to easily remember routes and destinations, so we don’t have to worry about getting lost. We’re planning to visit a lot of cafés so that we can try local pastries and get to explore new food. We also want to learn about the history of New Zealand and therefore we’re planning to visit Wellington Museum which is located approximately 30 minutes away from my aunt’s house. I’m very excited to get to know about the history of the Maori culture and look at art galleries that are going to be there. I also find it very interesting that New Zealand is a very small Island located in the Pacific Ocean - yet it is home to 4.5 million people. I have saved some money that I’m going to take with me when I travel so that I can buy gifts for my best friend Sara because I want to give her something special. I am also planning to buy some sort of souvenir that I can keep as a memory when I get back to Denmark. I have saved approximately 1000 dkk, which is equivalent to 223 New Zealandic Dollars. The trip is going to be quite expensive as we’re going to be spending 11000 KR. per person, but I hope that it’s going to be worth it as it is my biggest dream to visit the country since I’ve heard so many great things about it.
