I just returned back home from my couchsurfing trip to USA. It was a lovely host family I visited, they taught me a lot of America culture, served delicious food and showed me some really interesting places, which were really instructive and educational. They gave me a quite different sight at the country and their culture.
I spent 4 days in Florida with Alex and Spencer my hosts, they were so kind to me. They lived in an old beautiful house near Key west in Florida, I got a small room to sleep in. But we didn’t spend especially much time at their home, perhaps because they knew so many people, so we were constantly on a visit somewhere, or around in the city. The weather was so great, it didn’t rain at all.
My really good friend Sara had used couchsurfing a couple of times before. Her experiences had been so great, that I had to try it, she told me. She recommended Alex and Spencer to me, as my host family. It that was a huge help, because she already knew them, so I had an idea what I would arrive to. They were a quite different than other Americans, because they both had a little European in their genes. But both had lived in Florida their whole life, so they knew the culture and people very well. Alex and Spencer showed me a lot of interesting places in the south Florida, we saw crocodiles, went snorkeling and visited Hemming Ways house. Especially seeing Hemming Ways old house was interesting, there were cats all over the house and in every room, you steeped into there were even more.
