Have you heard of Couch Surfing? Couchsurfing is a community site where you can create a profile that tells other members about yourself, and then use it to access free accommodation in local homes, you can host a traveller in your home, or meet people from around the world.
I love to Couch Surf because I like meeting new people and you can quickly become friends with the person, I like to be around the world and explore the society to see the equality between that country and the country I come from, I have mostly been in EU countries but also in South America. I had visited London because it is a big city with lots of sights and I have always wanted to Couch Surf in London as I have never been there.
I remember when I landed in Heathrow Airport, the hosts stood with a sign with my name on it and looked around, when they saw me they waved at me with a smile, they were very welcoming and helped me with my bags, their name was Oliver and Emily and they have been married for 11 years, I was there for 4 days and slept on a very comfortable sofa which stood in the middle of the room. The food they make tasted good, we enjoyed wine, a movie and talked almost all evening, they are also funny especially Oliver as he makes stand-up comedy and Emily is a business lady
