3. Introduction
The aim of this report is to define the credit crunch for Tesco’s Board of Directors and to explain the future implications the credit crunch will have on the company.
The report is divided into two main sections. The first one covers the definition, the origin and the future of the credit crunch. The second part covers Tesco’s environment, the effect the current financial situation has on the retailer, and the report is being concluded with our recommendations of a future strategy striving to remain the largest retailer in the UK and continue to expand into other parts of the world.
