“Have a good trip darling and remember to stay safe” My mom told me, as she embraced me tightly. “You worry too much mom; I’m going to be fine” I said as I hugged her back.
The event happened at night. It was dark outside, and you couldn’t see anything expect for the starlit sky, and the gorgeous moon. I didn’t realize that someone was standing beside me. “Hi, my name’s Alex”. “Hi, my name’s Julia” she said. She had caramel brown hair, and ocean blue eyes.
Those two sentences were the start of something incredibly special yet so devastating. We talked for hours. It was like I had known her my entire life.

I can’t clearly recall what happened afterwards. Everything happened so fast. The entire world fell silent for a few moments. Then all hell broke loose. People were screaming, yelling, running, and crying.
“We hit an iceberg; we have to get to the other side of the ship” Julia said. I could barely move. My body was in a state of shock. I forced my body to move. We ran and ran. When we got there all the boats were occupied. We wouldn’t be able to make it out of here.
