My school have decided that students should not be allowed to have cellphones with them at the school because it have a bad influence on our learning and concentration our Head teacher, Mr T. Laycock says “We think mobile phones are extremely distracting for children and they interrupt their concentration.” And I understand that argument and how it can affect our learning through the day but on the other hand I think we have to respect that youth is happening over social media today and we can't do anything about that so I don’t think they should ban it completely in my opinion the teachers should take the phones when we meet and give them back in the breakfast so we can live our lives which happens on the mobile phone I don’t see a problem in checking Instagram and replaying to a snapchat while you eat. many of us are also used to buy something to eat but many of us use apple pay which is an app that works just like your MasterCard you just need to have your phone on you.
If the school listened to my plan, we would both avoid the concentration problems and all the other bad stuff that comes with having your phone with you in class, but we would also be able to have our social life in the breaks and it would also be an easy boundary for us to understand that now we don't have our phones we need to focus on something else. But I still think it would take a few years before all of the students would understand why we are doing this many of them would most likely think it is a punishment but after some years when it will get normal, they will hopefully see the reason behind it.
