I chose to talk about Elvis Presley because I wondered why he was so popular, and why people still talk about him.
2. Who was elvis presly?
Elvis Presley was born on January 8. 1935 and died on August 16. 1977. Elvis had a twin named Jessie Garon, but he was stillborn.
Elvis was born into a lower-class family in Tupelo, Mississippi, and lived in a mostly black neighborhood, when he was 13 years old, they moved also to a black neighborhood in Memphis, Tennessee. Growing up he was introduced to black music, especially in the church he was introduced to the gospel.
His dad went to jail for forging a check. That left Elvis alone with his mother, they had to move in with family members. Elvis’s mother smothers him which made him a mama's boy. That made him a target in the family they teased him and picked on him, but when he became famous those family members came crawling back and begged for money.
4. His movie career
Elvis also made many movies. He made 30 movies between 1956 and 1969. Many people would describe them as boring and predictable. The scripts were dull and not very creative. Some of Elvis's movies featured relatively simple and one-dimensional characters, there were often just focused on Elvis's charisma. At first, he wanted to be a serious actor but as time went by it was all about making money and about only hitting the fanbase. That is also why it mostly was the fans who liked the movie.
