Rock and Roll also called Rock'n'roll, is a music genre. Rock`n`roll originally began in USA. However it would very soon become popular and even world famous. Rock'n'roll has its roots in a long series of existing genres: Blues, boogie-woogie, country-western, jazz, swing and gospel.

The major breakthrough of Rock'n'roll began in 1954 with Bill Haley`s hits: “Rock around the clock” and “Shake, Rattle and Roll”. It was also in 1954 Elvis Presley got success with “that’s all right” and in 1956 came he’s worldwide hit: “heartbreak hotel”.

Rock'n'roll is the “ground” for our days Rock music.

Elvis Presley is the most famous, most known and most loved of these rock`n`roll artists. His music is still not forgotten, and many people see him as the greatest music artist ever seen. He is also known as the king of Rock`n`roll.

Elvis was one of the persons who began the new way of expressing themself by their music and their moves on the stage. The music was no more innocent and political songs were now in the picture.
