The Atomic Bomb: Pros, Cons, and its Role in Peace

The atomic bomb is a weapon that can cause mass destruction and has

various consequences on the country it lands on, however it can easily end

wars and in one way or the other keeps peace between nations due to fear,

Would everything be better if the atomic bomb didn't exist or are things fine

Let's start with some of the good sides of the atomic bomb, as tragic and

horrible the atom bomb sounds you can argue that it keeps peace

between nations because the nations with atom bombs are more feared

and nobody attacks them because they can cause such mass

destruction to them, a huge example here is japan in ww2, after the US

bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan surrendered and focused on

rebuilding the two cities and US even helped them with it. If the US

never bombed Japan you can argue the war would have lasted way

longer and Japan probably wouldn't have surrendered, and if Japan

didn't surrender maybe the US would've invaded Japan. Japan stopped

participating in the war which most likely saved a lot of soldiers' lives, so
