In this essay I’m going to tell you about the positive and negative sides of video games. I’m going to tell you some of the most popular games in the world, and just how many people that actually uses a lot of their time in the virtual world.

We’re going to start with some basics about how a game is put together. There are two modes of playing games: single player and multiplayer.

In single player, guess what, you play alone with NPC’s (Non-Player Character) a NPC is controlled with something called AI (Artificial Intelligence). AI is used to program machines, robots, and in this case NPC’s. AI is meant to be the closest to the basics of the human brain, and is therefore a great tool for making the games as realistic as possible. Some people think that the games that are too realistic and can damage kid’s ability distinguish reality from the virtual world. I personally think that kids that suddenly goes crazy by stealing their parent’s car and mow down old ladies because they were able to in “Grand theft auto” are already damaged. An example is an eight year old boy in the U.S that stole his teacher’s car and drove all the way home, nobody were hurt, and the driving actually went fine, but of course this isn’t okay. The Gta (grand theft auto) series is probably the game that has most complains about its violent gameplay.
