Message in a bottle

A girl recently died in my town; she was stabbed to death.

The girl was 16 and named Sadie Adler. She died on the 13th of August 2008. She was a close friend of mine, my best friend. I found her in the woods walking with my dad. I tried to solve this case by myself because the police are not that well experienced in my opinion. So, I’ve been looking into this case, and I found something shocking about my dad.

I found pictures of Sadie sleeping on his phone, and I found a knife that has been missing for ‘bout a week. I found a small bag of bright ginger hair that matches Sadie's beautiful, shiny hair. Not so long ago, Sadie said something about feeling like she was being watched or stalked. She had been scared and unsure up to her death. I went down to our basement in curiosity, and it smelled like dead rats; or some kind of lifeless creature. Sadie didn’t reply neither my texts or calls… she wasn’t seen in a long time before that night I found her curvy, soft body in the woods with my dad. Down in the basement, I found a human-ish size cage; there were chains attached to the wall. Looking into the cage, I found strings of red hair in there. None of my family has red hair; and we never have visitors; I only know Sadie who has red hair as pretty as hers. When my dad and I found her that night, I noticed she was missing both of her feet, covered in dried blood. However, I found her rotten feet locked in a smelly box. I knew it was her feet because of the royal blue nail polish. I was in shock; I went upstairs in disgust. Some hours passed. I watched the news in hope for more answers. The police announced that they’ve arrested Billy Adler, her “abusive” brother, according to the news. I knew Billy; he was really protective of Sadie. He could never have killed his own sister. It can’t be right. There was DNA of him all over her, but there was also from me and my dad. Before Billy got arrested, I was asked a lot of questions by the police, weirdly most about my dead mother, who died 5 years ago in her sleep by an overdose. They suspect that Billy maybe killed her too. But I think my dad, "Nathan Landon," is the real killer. Please save me.
