The Impact of My Parents

Throughout our life we have met many people. A lot of them just pas by and won’t be remembered, but some of them leave an impact on us. I think the people that have made the most impact on me, is my parents. I can’t come with specific things they have done or said to me, but I just know that they are the two people that have made the most impact on me.

I think that the person I look up to the most is my mom. My mom has taught me so many important things and helped me through a lot of hard and challenging times, and I know that she still has a lot of things she hasn’t taught me yet. She has taught me that setbacks are a part of life and that getting back up on your feet after failures is an important skill. But my dad is just as important in this equation. He has taught me to be strong and how to fight my own battels. My dad has taught me more physical thing, where my mom has taught me more about feeling and things that is going on inside of us.

My parents have always been there for me and were the people that needed to teach me everything. They are the people that have help forming who I am today. They have taught me many things. How to trust, communicate, walk and how it feels to be loved. From the moment I was born, have they showered me with love and embraced me for who I am. They have always been my role model, meaning that what they did and how they acted in certain situation affected me and taught me to act almost the same way. I don’t always understand completely what my parents mean when they say thing, but I’m certain that at one point in my life, I will look back and see/understand what my parent meant back then. One of the things they always use to say, that I thought was a bit weird was “You don’t have to be best friends or like everybody, but you still have to respect them and talk nice to them.” But as I got older, I finally understood what they meant by it, and today I still uses this sentence quite a lot.
