Reason for choosing the subject (Racism)I chose this topic about racism because it is very interesting and something that should be spoken out loud about.

What is racismRacism is when people are treated unfairly or differently because of their skin color, where they come from, or their culture. It's like saying one group is better than another just because of these things.

The African racePeople from Africa belong to the African race. Africa is a big continent with many countries, and the people there have diverse cultures and traditions. Just like everyone else, African people have unique histories, languages.

White SuperiorA long time ago, some white people thought they were better than African people. In the US, white people were rude to African people. They called them mean names and didn't see them as humans, but like animals. sadly, African people were treated very poorly and made to work hard as slaves. If a slave tried to run away, they could get hurt. Today, some white people still think they're better, but not all. Some of them support Black Lives Matter, which is good.

The difference between then and now.A long time ago in the US, racism was very bad. Black people were treated bad, used as slaves, and even traded for weapons. It was really tough for them, facing beatings or even getting shot for small mistakes. Thankfully, things are better today.
