Apartheid has always been a huge problem since 1518. It means that the color of your skin decided where you should live, where to go, work, school, even going to the movies and restaurants.
Apartheid between blacks and whites has change the world so much. People have learned so much form all the trouble it has made. There are many people, which have died because of racism. It was Rosa Parks who started all the demonstrations against Jim Crow laws, because she wouldn’t give up her seat for a white person. Martin Luther King was the leader of the blacks. He was very good at speeches and fought for the blacks rights. The demonstrations he put up changed the world almost as it is today. The things Martin did for the Afro Americans, I believe were fantastic and very brave. He really changed the world, and after the 1960s the racism slowly went away.
Today there is still racism in the world, but in a whole new level. For example if an immigrant makes any kind of crime, it will be accentuated in the newspaper, but it is not like in the old days where people were executed.
I find it kind of funny that some immigrants who come to Denmark expect so much from the government, like schools from them selves, mosques, and special food in the kindergartens. But if we come to their country we must fit in, ex in Arabia when you walk in some streets you need to wear “their clothes” like abaias etc. I think it is an exiting topic, because it has been a huge problem in the past.
