Racisme: historiske rødder og udtryksformer

Racism is not a new thing actually, it is one of the oldest ways to discriminate and call hatred upon others. If you look back in history, you will find tons of examples of racism, and if you look carefully, it is usually the white population, who discriminate the African, Asian, Mexican or people from the Middle East. I think this shows, that because of the white man’s expansion in the world, the white man became naïve and terrified to lose power, so instead of settling peace with the people he met, he relied on bad treatment, to keep their minds on only surviving, instead of thinking about freedom.Nevertheless, back then people thought racism was good, they did not say stop.Now that racism is a taboo, it is kept in the shadows, away from people who believe in freedom for all. However, I still think racism is a ginormous problem, groups as the KKK is still recruiting new members every year and they are rising in numbers.But why? I think it is often small-minded people, who do not think of others than themselves, they are awful people, but how did it start, why did they develop in to these discriminating small minded somewhat of a person they are? That is what I find interesting.
