Gun laws in the United States have long been a big issue. The country's
unique history and cultural attachment to ?rearms are contributing to the
ongoing debate on how to address gun violence, particularly within the
context of school shootings.
The documentary “Under the gun”really showed how devastating these
incidents are, and exactly how important it is that we put an end to it. The
impact of the shootings doesn't only frighten the people directly involved or
the families of the victims. It also a ects people everywhere hearing and
seeing these awful events. I don’t think it’s fair in any way that kids living in
the US have to worry about these things happening when going to school.
The school is a place where the youth use most of their time so it’s
important for them to feel safe there.
In many ways I think it’s important to do whatever is necessary to stop
school shootings and other forms of gun violence. But I believe that it needs
to be done the right way. The zero tolerance policy is logical for immediate
concerns such as weapons, drugs and sexual assault. However I don’t ?nd
