Cry Freedom: Analyse af filmen og Apartheid

The movie cry freedom is about a black man named Steve Biko, and the relationship he gets with a white man, named Donald Woods. When we meet Donald Woods in the beginning of the movie, had Steve Biko already been “banned” by the South African government. When I said “banned” I meant that he was not allowed to be in the same room with more than one other person. Steve Biko invited Donald Woods to visit a black township to see the conditions. Donald Woods began to see Steve Biko’s desire for a South Africa where blacks have not the same opportunities and rights as the white population. Donald Woods started writing a book about the terrible conditions. He smuggling the book to another country, so he could print it, and let the rest of the world read it.

Steve Biko is called Biko. He is a black human rights leader. He is loved by the black community, but hated by the white South African community. Steve Biko is fighter, because he fights for what he stands for. I think that Steve was a very generous man.

Donald Woods was an editor of a white newspaper. He was open for to learn more about black people.
