Grease is an American movie from 1978 with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John in the leading parts. The movie is from the musical Grease.

The movie takes place on Rydell High School in 1959, where you follow a group of students last year. There is a boy, called Danny. He is the leader in the boy-group. The boy-group play cool, but in the summer vacation Danny meets Sandy Olsson from Australia and he falls in love with her.
What Danny doesn’t know, is that Sandy has moved to Rydell, and she tries to find a place in the girl-group The Pink Ladies. Danny is getting confused when Sandy suddenly was on his school.
In the movie there is a lot of subjects with some of the young people from those two groups. There is a ball on their school, and a race between Danny and a guy in another group.
In the end of the movie there is a graduation party, where all the problems ends good.
I think it’s an typical American movie because it’s about young love.
