Father and son

Father and son “Father and son” written by Bernard MacLaverty is a short story about a father and his son. The relationship between the father and son, changed because of the mother’s death. On page 115 the author starts to use flashbacks to describe a time when the father and son were friends and spent time with each other doing things such as fishing. He uses a performance where we hear the voices of the father and the son, where we read the story from their different points of view. He emphasizes the fathers love and longing towards the son
