Is it wrong or right to be gay? There is no answer to that question I think. Its up to every individual person to find out what they really are. In the last twenty years homosexual people have been accepted more and more by the public most likely because everything is going in this development of free speech and do-whatever-you-wanna-do direction.
This short story from 1997 is about the relationship between a father named Stew and his lesbian daughter Kitty. It all starts with the father picking up the phone and talking with his friend Norm which tells him that his daughter has posted an article about their relationship in a international magasine called Self. Stew then wants to go down to the local shop, because he wants to buy the magasine Self, so he can read the article for himself, but since he do not own a car and his Wife (Kitty mother) is not at home he had to wait until she arrived home. Instead of picking up the phone and call Kitty, he in the meantime begins to think on back to some of the insidence that have happend in the past between him and his daughter. All the situations where he can remember how ashamed he had been of her and also how things could have been better if she did not turn out to be a lesbian. The last thing we get to know in this short story is the last conversation between Stew and Kitty where he tells her to stay away from his home if she is truely a lesbian.
