Summary: The movie is about the Indian girl Jess, who lives in England. She has a big interest in soccer and especially in David Beckham. Her biggest dream is to play professional soccer. But that is just not easy, when your parents are Indian immigrants, who don’t want their daughter to run around playing football and showing her legs.
One day Jess is playing soccer in the park with some of the local boys. The English girl Jules sees Jess’ talent and gets Jess to come try playing for the local girlteam. The coach of the team is imprested of Jess’ talent. He lets her play for the team and she plays even though her parents don’t want her to. And then the problem starts. First off all Jules and Jess becomes best friends while playing soccer. Actually so good friends that Jules mother think they are girlfriends. Then Jess fall in love with the coach, while Jules also is in love with him. Jess’ parents discover that Jess is playing soccer and that she has been lying to them. They loose their trust to her and keep an extra eye on jess.
But the biggest problem is when Jules tells Jess that a talent scout from USA is coming at the final play. It can give the girls a chance to get a contract and also a scholarship in the states. But the final play is on the same day as Jess’ sister’s wedding. Oh no!
