'In the Name of the Father', filmoversigt

“In the Name of the Father” is a film made in 1993 by a guy named Jim Sheridan. The film is based on the true life story of the Guildford bombing. Four people are wrongly convicted for the IRA's Guildford pub bombing there killed four British soldiers and one civilian. Gerry Conlon and his friend Paul Hill, was growing up in IRA-era Belfast, but now they have move to London to join a hippie scene. They hang out with a bunch of hippies in an ugly flat. There they meet Carole and Paddy. Hanging out in a London park after a fight with their flat hippie freinds, Hill and Conlon meet a homeless man named Charlie, who claims the bench they are sitting on belongs to him. While the two talk to Burke on the park bench, they heard a very loud explosion. Later that night Conlon steals money from the apartment of a prostitute who drops her keys on the sidewalk outside her house. Anothter hippie, there is jealous over Conlon's advances to a female in the group, drops a hint to the police that Gerry and Paul, being Irish, may be involved in the bombing, and later that night they are being arrested.
