My impression of the film :

I liked it when they tried to escape from the IRA, that was cool and I love action.

It surprised me that there was a so big outcry, and they didn’t believe them.

I was happy when they was released, and left the court as free men, and fight “In The Name Of the Father”.

I learned that you should stay away from crimes, or you can risk going to prison in 15 years.

I am not sure what they did to the lady, there was removed from the court.

Explain the title “IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER.” It’s called “In The Name Of the Father” because Gerry’s Father learned him a lot in the prison, and then he died, he would fight In The Name Of the Father.

Give a very short summery of the film – max 200 words. Gerry Conlon is a small thief from Belfast. He where falsely implicated in the IRA bombing of a pub that, kills a five people while he is in London. He and four of his friends were caught by the British police, and are sent to interrogation. Gerry Conlon have to say he did it, because if he not confesses, then will they kill his father. Gerry Conlon spends 15 years in prison with his father trying to prove they were innocence, with the help of a British lawyer, Gareth Peirce. Sadly his father dies in the prison. In the end are the all released and they start an organization “In the Name of the Father”.
