It all started on that weird day in December. It started out as a normal day. The first day of December. Everybody was ready to find their Christmas spirit. When I was having my breakfast I watched TV. The news were on. They had breaking news from the hospital. A new disease had been discovered. Nobody could explain what it was. The first case of the disease came in the 1st of December a little after midnight. The diseased had just passed away as the reporter came to the hospital. The reporter couldn't get much information at the moment but he did get some. What the doctors knew so far was that the human immune system wasn't strong enough to fight the disease. They tried to give the patient penicillin and that didn't help. Suddenly there was a scream from the hospital. It was a terrible scream. It really gave me the shivers. The reporter turned to the hospital. He said he would be back when he knew what happened. Then it cut to commercials. I didn't have time to wait and see what it was. I had to finish my breakfast and go to school. At school I couldn't stop thinking about the scream from the hospital. I told my teacher about it but he didn't watch TV in the morning. None of my classmates had either. I sat next to my best friend Rick. After school Rick and I went back to my place. I turned on the TV and the news were on. This time of the day it usually weren't. Again it was in front of the hospital. But this time it was a new reporter. I thought that was weird since it was the same channel. You could hear gunshots and screaming in the background. The reporter talked about disasters. It was hard to understand what she said because of the noise in the background and the reporter seemed frightened. I couldn't understand why the reporter was frightened of a disease. But then again we did hear the shots earlier. Maybe there had been a terrorist attack on the hospital? Suddenly you could hear a new gunshot followed by a scream. Someone from the hospital yelled: “GET OUT AND RUN!” The reporter turned away from the screen and saw a lot of people running out from the hospital including some policemen. They were followed by a bunch of funny-looking people. They didn't sprint as the others. They just ran in their own tempo. They didn't run very fast. Some of them ran towards the news reporter. She asked them what they wanted but they didn't answer. They just ran up and bit her. They all jumped her and bit her. The camera man also got jumped. The camera fell to the ground still filming. You could see them get eaten. It was horrible to look at.
