The road ahead

A thought crossed my mind; What if we had just stayed at home? I shouldn’t have pushed her that far, she said she was tired before we even got in the car. Why didn’t I just listen to her? Then none of this would’ve happened. The thought made me feel sick, I tried to convince myself, that it wasn’t my fault, but it was pointless, no matter how hard I tried. Well, I suppose I should tell you what actually happened, instead of only the thoughts and feelings that are slowly destroying me, inside out. It all started as a normal Friday morning. A couple of days before, my girlfriend and I decided, to go to the theater that Friday evening. So it became Friday, and I was really excited about the play, but Molly, my girlfriend, complained and said she was too tired.
