The road stretched on and on. Not a soul in sight. I looked around and the barren landscape stared back at me. The heat was oppressive. How long had I been going? Hard to say, but I was determined not to lose my nerve. I could not stop thinking about what had happened. My head was spinning. There was no point going back to the car. I picked up my bag and went on.
It all started 3 weeks ago. I was on vacation with my parents, and I met this cute boy. We were both shy, but we started to talk. Soon it was more than just talking. The first time we kissed I nearly swooned. I was just so deep in love, that I didn’t see what was coming. I didn’t even gave it a thought that I ever had to leave him again.
But then the day came. We, my family and I, were going home, but I couldn’t. I wouldn’t go home. So I did, what I thought was the best, I went with my boyfriend, Charles, home. I didn’t even listen to my parents contradictions, I just left them, didn’t even said goodbye.
Weeks passed. I lived with Charles, in a little house in the country. It was a very nice place, quiet, and separated from the outside world. The house was small, but comfortable. There was a bathroom, a kitchen, a living room and a bedroom. Also there was a little garden outside, where we had a bunch of flowers, and a little fountain. In my head, that was the way paradise looked.
