He startet as a part of a little group of stand-up comedians on a resturant, in Copenhagen, in the end of the 1980. He fougt his way to the top of Torben Dins stand-up list. He was the first comedian, there got his picture in a Danish newspaper because of stand-up. A couple of years before the closure of Resturant Dins became Casper Christensen a part of Denmarks first Stand-up booking company FBI (Funny Business Incorporated).
His big breakthrough came in 1995 with the live show called “Husk lige tanbørsten”. Lars Hjortshøj, another Danish comedian, wrote a big part of the manuscripts to the program, and gave
Casper keywords in a earpiece. The program became a big succes for DR1, and the gossip magzines were wild, when Casper and Anette Toftegaard became lovers.
In 1997 made Casper the radioprogram “tæskeholdet” with Jan Gintberg. The radioprogram became the biggest listening succes in the 90’s.
In the extension of “Tæskeholdet” was Casper and Jan Gintberg employed by TV2 to develop new entertainment. It resulted in the talk show “Darios Joint” for TV2 in 1998 with Casper as host and with Lars Hjortshøj and Jan Gintberg as the team behind the program. For the first time in a larger Danish show occurred Anders Matthesen in “Darios Joint”.
