In 1910 the Boer Republics and the British areas were joined together to a union called South Africa. The whites make it difficult for the blacks to live. The blacks are for example not allowed to strike, and to have good jobs.
In 1912 the blacks made a party (ANC) in the fight of the black’s rights.
The blacks consisted 70 % of the population, but they just have 7,5 % of the worst land to live on. They may not buy or rent the whites places.
In 1948 the National Party won the election and introduced Apartheid. They will do South Africa white. Therefore the blacks got scattered in different “homelands”. The family’s got divided. The facilities like hospitals, schools and toilets got divided up in 2. Some of them were just for whites an some just for blacks.

De sorte bestod af 70 % af befolkningen, men de havde kun 7,5 % af den dårligste jord at bo på. De måtte ikke købe eller leje noget af de hvides områder.
