Book review: 'Billy Elliot'

Billy ElliotThe book is about the twelve-year old boy, called Billy Elliot. Billy’s father is a miner, and so is his brother Tony. Billy’s mother is dead and Billy is very sorry for that. He really liked his mother; she was careful and liked Billy as he was very much. She was not so hard like Jackie (Billy’s father) and Tony. Billy’s mother Sarah had leaved a letter for Billy he liked to read again and again. Billy has a very special dream. He wants to be a ballet dancer. The whole ballet thing starts with; Billy was down at the sports centre, because he should do his boxing. His father wants that Billy should be a boxer as he did and as his father and so on… But, Billy is not a quiet good boxer; in fact he is very bad. One day Billy goes down and he looked at a ballet class. That looked quiet easy, and he tells the girls and the teacher that. And faster than he knows he’s dancing ballet and he just can’t stop. Everyday he’s practicing at home, Jackie thinks it is weird, but Billy tells him that it is his latest boxing moves, and he soon will win some fights. Billy getting better at ballet and the teacher think that he’s very talented. Billy doesn’t want to tell his father about all the stuff with ballet, he had been busted once and his father went very angry. Billy’s best friend, Michael, said that he had to tell it. Michael thinks that it is very cool, that Billy are going to be a ballet dancer.One day the teacher had a message for Billy. Billy should go for an audition for the Royal Ballet School. It was so weird, it was only the rich people there went to these auditions. Billy’s family was workers. But, now he must tell his father. At first his father flipped totally out, but at least he found out that it could be pretty cool.They drive for the Royal Ballet School in London and Billy gets nervous. At first he thinks that it’s horrible, because there is full of posh people and bosses. Billy dance not so good at the audition, because he’s angry. Three weeks later the family gets a letter. Billy got in to the Royal Ballet School!
